mapo tofu ramen

  • 1 package plain ramen noodles - cooked "al dente" and drained
  • 1 package firm tofu
  • 1 T sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 T roasted garlic
  • 1/4 lb ground pork, browned
  • 1t cornstarch
  • 1/4 t sesame oil
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  1. Drain tofu and cut into 1/4" cubes
  2. add hot sauce, roasted garlic, pork, sesame oil and soy sauce
  3. make slurry with cornstarch, adding small amount of water to it then adding to above mixture
  4. Let mixture cook over medium heat, and add chicken broth
  5. When hot, add noodles - I like to let them cook in broth for a while to let noodles get chewy, but you can just heat through if you like them more "traditional"
these are not the regular tear open the package, put in the dry packet and eat noodles. If you like Tofu and spice, these are the noodles for you!
