peppermint meringue clouds

- 2 egg yolks
- 2/3 c butter
- 1/4 c milk
- 1t vanilla
- 2 1/2 c flour
- 1t salt
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 3/4 c sugar
- meringue
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 t vanilla
- 1 c mini semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c crushed peppermint candies
DIRECTIONS
- mix egg yolks, butter, milk, vanilla, and sugar
- add flour, salt, and baking powder
- roll into log and chill in fridge while making meringue
- prepare meringue by beating egg whites in small bowl with salt to form soft mounds
- gradually add sugar, continuing beating until soft peaks form
- fold in vanilla, chocolate chips, and peppermint candies
- take dough out of fridge and take teaspoon sized balls
- place on greased cookie sheet and flatten each ball with glass dipped in sugar
- top each cookie with a teaspoon of meringue
- bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes
