  • 2 pork chops (1/2-3/4")
  • ginger
  • cayenne
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 4 pods cardamon ground
  • 2 small bay leaf
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 3/4 lb brussel sprouts cut in half
DIRECTIONS
  1. season pork chops with ginger cayenne and s&p the brown in a skillet
  2. remove to a oven proof dish
  3. fry the bacon
  4. add to the baking dish along with 1 Tbsp of the fat
  5. add milk
  6. sage
  7. bay leaf
  8. sugar
  9. brussel sprouts
  10. bake covered 350 degrees
RECIPE BACKSTORY
Spanish pork loin with carmelized milk This is a work in progress. I am exploring cooking with milk and meat. I would like to try to prevent the milk from separating while cooking. The first time I tried this the flavor was good but then that might just have been the bacon.
