quickie pizza

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small can Hunts tomato sauce
  • 1 T canola oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash of garlic salt
  • pinch of oregano
  • pinch of basil
  • 1 package pepperoni
  • 6 hamburger buns
  1. In small saucepan, combine everything but cheese and pepperoni, simmer for about 20 minutes
  2. If cooking with kids, put sauce into separate bowl
  3. Place spoonful of sauce on each bun
  4. Sprinkle cheese on top, and pepperoni if desired
  5. Broil until cheese is bubbly
  6. Optional toppings can make for a fun party if you have a group of kids
I think this is such a fun version of "pizza" and a great way to get kids into the kitchen!
