~^Angel's^~ Seasoned Pinto Beans (for Family Gatherings)
INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: 21+
  • Appx 1 BULK can OR 6-7 15 oz cans of Pinto Beans- UNdrained
  • 3 Tbsp Red Wine (or White) Vinegar
  • 4 tsp Chili Powder
  • 2 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • *1/2 tsp Dry Parsley or Tarragon
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp Chopped/Minced Dry Onion
  • 4 Beef Bouillon Cubes (or 4 slices Pre-cooked Bacon)
  • water
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1) In a 6 quart (or larger) slow cooker, stir in all ingredients, adding enough water to cover the beans up to 1/2 an inch.
  2. 2) Cook on High 6-7 Hours or Low 8-10 hours.
  3. Serve with cornbread and mild banana pepper rings!
RECIPE BACKSTORY
Growing up in the south, my father always enjoyed a slow-cooker pot of beans. So, this is my twist on the traditional "pot of beans". This Large Batch is adapted for my Family Gatherings. Serve with cornbread and mild yellow peppers!
