~^Angel's^~ Seasoned Pinto Beans

INGREDIENTS
  • Servings: Appx 7 (1/2c each)
  • 2 cans Pinto Beans- UNdrained + 1 can Water (to cover)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2-1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • *1/2 tsp Dry Parsley or Tarragon
  • 2 tsp Chopped/Minced Dry Onion
  • *1 slice Pre-Cooked Bacon
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1) In a small sauce pan on stove, stir together all ingredients.
  2. 2) Bring to a boil.
  3. 3) Then, Lower heat and allow to simmer **5-8 minutes.
  4. (**I myself enjoy a "thicker sauce", and when the beans are more "mushy" rather than firm. Canned pinto beans seem to vary by brand, so you may want to cook them longer depending on your own preference.)

A twist on the traditional "pot of beans". Large Batch adapted for Family Gatherings. Serve with cornbread and mild yellow peppers!
